Undergoing Root Canal Treatment (RCT)

Take consultation, doctor opinion, Requirement/complexity of the RCT and price accordingly. 

In case of diabetes, you need to provide latest Blood Sugar reports from laboratory testing (instead of self test using machines).  This is required since RCT involves Anesthesia injection to the person and can be affected with varying sugar levels.

 

After first sitting, you will be asked

  • relax for 30 mins to recover from Anesthesia
  • not to take anything including water for about 30 mins since body need to recover from Anesthesia
  • not to take any food that is hard, preferable take food from other side of the mouth.

After second/final sitting, there would be severe pain, patient

  • relax for 30 mins to recover from Anesthesia
  • not to take anything including water for about 30 mins since body need to recover from Anesthesia
  • not to take any food that is hard, preferable take food from other side of the mouth

 

Medications:

 

Five Days – In case of swelling and/or any other infection

Ordent 200 (Ofloxacin) (Twice – M, N)

Dolonex DT/Pirox DT (Piroxicam) (Twice – M, N)

 

Three Days – During RCT, i.e., after first sitting of RCT is done

Novamax 500  (Amoxycillin Trihydrate IP) (Twice – M, N)

Metrogyl 400 (Metronidazole) (Thrice – M, AF, N)

Ketorol DT (Ketorolac) (Twice – M, N)

 

In some cases, suggested pain reliever

Imol Plus (Caffeine (25mg) | Ibuprofen (400mg) | Paracetamol (325mg))
