Downloading and Configuring a Tiny/Small guest VM for guest VM operations automation in VMware

It’s very common an administrator would like to automate various of VM operations.  However, some of the activities like copying/Cloning/Snapshoting/Backing up a VM would be a very time consuming if you have a huge VM image to deal with. 

To make automation faster, one simply requires a small VM image that comes with lowest footprint OS with which you can perform VM automation activities.

You can download a tiny/small Linux based VM guest image in OVA format of size 11.6 MB.

Once you have downloaded the OVA file, you can go ahead and import into your VMware DC:
