Installing Citrix XenDesktop 5.6

Important Considerations:

1. XenDesktop should NOT be installed on a Domain Controller or Active Directory running server
2. XenDesktop should NOT be installed on a server running Citrix XenApp services

Avoid:

1. On server running Firewall services
2. On server with UAC enabled

Installer Path: "E:x64XenDesktop SetupXenDesktopServerSetup.exe"

Installing XenDesktop on XenApp server is NOT supported and in which case XenDesktop installer doesn’t give you option install its components on XenApp server instead says “This component cannot be installed on this machine”

1. XenDesktop Controller
2. Web Access
3. Desktop Studio
4. Desktop Director
5. License Server

XenDesktop required firewall ports for License server (TCP ports 27000, 7279)

 

No reboot required!!
